With a new way of thinking, Sabalenka is ready to handle the pressure of the 2024 season.

Aryna Sabalenka, the 2023 Australian Open winner, doesn’t think the new season will be easier, even though she had a big year at the Grand Slams. The world number two said her fearless attitude will help her deal with any problems that come up.

Sabalenka won her first Grand Slam title earlier this year at Melbourne Park. She then came in second place to Coco Gauff at the U.S. Open and briefly held the top spot in the rankings. She also made it to the French Open and Wimbledon semifinals.

It was okay for me to lose; if I didn’t bring my best tennis, anyone could go there and beat me. Sabalenka said, “Accepting this fact makes you believe it more.”

“When it matters most, you’re calmer on the court.” So, I don’t think I’m putting myself under any stress. What happens in the worst case? I’m going to lose a Grand Slam, some points, and rank a little lower, right?

“There are so many events ahead. I’m going to try to do my best to be in another Grand Slam or other events. That’s why I like my attitude, you can beat me. But I’m going to prepare every match and have huge chances to win.”
