Dial #*#7287#*# if you’re having problems with your Pixel.
Google has released a tool that will help users diagnose issues with their Pixel phones. The app can be launched by dialing #*#7287#*#. This allows users to test their phones before and after repairs.
The app has a number of diagnostic tools. Users can run a diagnostic test on the whole device or run tests to identify physical defects, sensor problems, and connectivity issues. The new tool can be found on all Pixel smartphones in English.
Google has also redesigned its repair manuals, which are available in English and French. However, they are only for the Pixel Fold and Pixel 8 Pro at the moment. Google will be adding repair manuals to previous and future devices in the “coming months.”
There’s , a new Repair mode that Google introduced earlier this month. Pixel Phone users can toggle on while their device is being repaired. This feature protects users’ personal information while the phone is being repaired by a technician. It is similar to Repair Mode, which Samsung introduced on their devices in 2021.
Google, as well as other tech companies, have become more accepting of the idea that DIYers or independent repair shops can fix their own devices. Google, Samsung and Apple have expanded their self-repair services in the past year. Apple has also launched an diagnostics program that users can access online.
