In a joint press release, Friedman and Lumley stated that it was a great honor to create a musical about the adorable and loved little bear. “The magic of Paddington lies in his wide-eyed innocent, which allows him to see the best in people, and reminds us that kindness and love can triumph when we open our minds and hearts. We can’t wait to bring Paddington and his adventures with the Brown Family, as well as Michael Bond’s other beloved characters, to the stage. “We hope to inspire audiences with beauty, fun, and joy.
