The delivery estimates already show an arrival date of after Christmas. So, unless Apple stores in your area get stock soon, the case may not make a good holiday gift.
The USB-C AirPods Pro that were released earlier this summer still have some advantages compared to the original Lightning model. They’re also dust-resistant and can handle water splashes.
